Product Description There is no greater power on the soccer field than the game intelligence of the players. With a great variety of attractive and effective simplified games, specially designed to simulate the most important game situations that may occur on the pitch, Horst Wein shows how to stimulate most of the aspects which are involved in game intelligence in young soccer players as well as professionals. Remember, Playing soccer without thinking is like shooting without aiming

| Customer Reviews:
Soccer book written by a hockey coach August 2, 2008 Lil Jimmy B (Ohio) This book has many drills for novice coaches to develop soccer tactics. Most drills are geared to players 12 and older. The idea and how the material is presented are acceptable. The diagrams are not labeled to the discussion and several have no diagrams. There are a few references to other books that Mr. Wein has written. To an experience soccer coach this material is old hat. Even so there a couple twists on drills that any coach would like to use. I'm very surprised the the author is a world class hockey coach. If you're a coach who hasn't played soccer at a high level, you will find this book very useful.
Sensational April 3, 2008 TODD N. MCVEIGH (Walnut Creek, CA) As good as it gets. This is of the highest quality. It should be noted that this book is a continuation of his other book titled "Developing Youth Football Players." "Developing Game Intelligence in Soccer" is Level 5 (ages 15 and up) of Horst Weins' "Football Development Model"
