Tons of Fun and a Great Value January 3, 2009 Christine (Olathe, KS) Even setting the price aside, this is a great game. But when you factor in that it's only $20, it is the best game (valuewise) we own. The premise is simple -- shake your remotes in the directions indicated by the flowing balls. Strike a pose when it tells you to or in hustle mode, wave your arms in a dancelike motion. It's a rhythm game. The music selection is the best! A lot of fun, familiar, upbeat music. On easy it really is easy -- but fun. It gets more challenging on medium and hard. One quirk: It took us some time to figure out how to get our sideways motions to register properly. The game registers the angle of your remotes. Up and down are pretty easy, but for sideways may take a little more practice to get right on the horizontal.
Most fun I've had in forever! December 29, 2008 TnShelli (Memphis, TN) We bought this for my 8 yr old for Christmas and it was well worth it. I have never laughed so hard! My son loves it and keeps him active and occupied. The music is great and it is fun for the whole family.
GREAT GAME December 27, 2008 D. Shulga (Russia) At screenshots graphics may look simple, but its nothing. Its very fun, very interesting game. If you not have wii console - this game is reason to buy wii. Absolutely in top row off all time game. For all ages, and simply genious game!
Fun, frustrating and lots of fun December 27, 2008 Ms Campbell (Maryland, USA) First off, I do love this game. It's fun and while I'm not a huge fan of the music as a genre, it's a perfect match. I prefer using two Wii-Motes rather than the nunchuck and the Wii-mote. Getting the exact motions down that win the points is where it gets frustrating. When I get it, I do great, when I mess up a bit, it messes up big. And it isn't lack of skill, it's lack of proper response from the Wii-motes themselves. Lots and lots of practice may be necessary to do great, but what game doesn't need that. I do not have maracas to go with it. I may decide to try them to see if there is better response, but I don't know. I am certainly glad I bought it. My 12 year old daughter, who got it for Christmas, loves it and gets lots of exercise by playing with it. Always good for those winter days of being shut in by the cold!
Great game, lots of fun music, ok controls December 3, 2008 snooo53 (Minnesota) This is a great rhythm game, with very fun music, as many others have pointed out. Starting it up, navigation is a breeze in that there is no nonsense with non-skippable cut-scenes or slow menus... you will be dancing in seconds! I say dancing because the music is that much fun, and it is almost impossible not to move to the beat! You have access to a large portion of the songs right from the start, which is a big plus for the casual gamers. Controls are not nearly as forgiving as the Dreamcast version, often to the point of frustration in the harder modes. That is the ONLY downside to this title. But it is not a show stopper by any means; in fact, Easy and Normal modes are playable with little practice, and Hustle mode is very forgiving. For that alone, the title is worth the cost. For the harder modes/songs, shaking the controllers from right to left when you are in the middle position (rather than up and down), and tilting the wiimote slightly toward the sensor bar seems help slightly with the control issues. But you will have problems with the maraca positions getting "lost" frequently, especially during rapid vertical changes in the harder modes. In fact, if you get frustrated easily, do not even attempt the Hard modes, the control response is too slow to be successful 99% of the time. Unfortunately because of this, beating the game is not just hard; it is truly impossible. Overall though, the game is a winner, and you will not be sorry with the purchase! If an update to fix the control issues or a more accurate maracas controller came out I would not hesitate to give this game 5 stars
